Tucked at the end of a country lane, hidden amongst majestic gums and pine trees, is where you will find ‘Down the Lane’… nestled in the quaint village of Blackheath, this is your place to be still for a while, connect with nature, connect with each other… endless hours have been spent here, tree gazing, fire watching, exploring, bath soaking, cooking, drinking wine at sunset…sometimes just us, at times sharing with family or friends.
About
‘My wish is to stay always like this, living quietly in a corner of nature.’
– Claude Monet
Setting
Down the Lane is located just minutes by car or a brisk walk away from the village centre of Blackheath, close enough to everything you want to enjoy but far enough away from the things you don’t.
There are many bush walks and magnificent lookouts nearby, many that have yet to be discovered by the vast majority of tourists. At 950 m above sea level, the Blackheath area of the Heritage Blue Mountains National Park is the home of some amazing views, beautiful bush walks and waterfalls including Evans Lookout, Govett's Leap and the Grand Canyon, not to mention the lesser known secret, Anvil Rock. Returning home to the cosiness of Down the Lane is the perfect way to end a day of exploring.
